I think it’s a perfect time to do a little self celebration, don’t you?
In this beautiful and varied land of personal development and human psychology it is very easy to dwell in the dark spaces and tricky subjects. I vote we spend some time celebrating how far we’ve come and what we can be really proud of ourselves for. Are you in?
Let’s go!
Alright, let’s do this little exercise together, extra points if you write down your answers or voice note them so you can listen back.
- What are 3 things you are proud of yourself for in the last week?
- What 10 things are you proud of yourself for in 2023?
- What are you most proud of right now on your personal development/ human evolution journey?
- What 3 people are you most proud of in your life right now?
Here are some examples to help you:
What are 3 things you are proud of yourself for in the last week?
e.g. going to a really hard gym class even though I was scared, giving myself time to rest at the weekend, communicating lovingly with my partner even though I was so frustrated!
What 10 things are you proud of yourself for in 2023?
e.g. forgiving myself for not progressing as quickly with my plans as I’d hoped, welcoming a new client to my business, being brave enough to have a difficult conversation with a loved one, booking myself a trip that I’ve been wanting to do for years, being consistent in my work/ relationship/ health.
What are you most proud of right now on your personal development/ human evolution journey?
This is one is true for me to show you a real example: I am really proud of how much I have grown and regulated my nervous system so that when close people in my life trigger my childhood trauma I can manage it so much better than I used to. For example, when triggered I would have been previously been flooded with emotions for hours, days and even weeks, I would have made the interaction mean so much about me and how that person feels about me, and I would have questioned myself and my own reality for days and even weeks afterwards. More recently I have noticed that when triggered by a loved one I still get flooded with emotions, but I am able to keep my head above water and stay somewhat present so I can diffuse the situation in the moment (where possible). After the triggering experience I feel bad and question myself, but for a much shorter period of time and with far more clarity on who I am. I understand that how other people behave is more about them, than about me.
I am proud of the work I have done to secure my sense of self and deep self trust, I am proud of the work I have done to develop regulated nervous and emotional systems to be able to bounce back from triggers quickly. I am proud of the work I have done to develop understanding and compassion for others and their own journeys.
What 3 people are you most proud of in your life right now and why?
e.g. your partner for being funny even when times are tough, your child for reminding you to be grateful every day, your parent for loving you everyday of your life no matter what, your colleague for supporting you, your best friend for being a non-judgemental space for healing and support when you most needed it.
How do you feel now?
Once you have completed this little exercise, how do you feel? Hopefully lighter, smiley, full around your heart space, holding your head a little higher and believing in your self a little more.
I am proud of you too! I’m proud of you for showing up and for getting through 100% of the hard days and the best days. I’m proud of you for being here and doing the work.
Sending so much love! xx

Cultivating Joy: The Power of a Productive Morning Routine
What is Joy? An emotion that causes feelings of happiness, delight, and pleasure. To me joy is different to happiness, happiness is fleeting, it comes and goes and is often tied to an external event or experience. My definition of joy is that it’s accessible whether...
